The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System-Medical Center is currently recruiting for Per Diem (New Graduate) Registered Nurses both day and night shift, to come work as helping hands for the Medical Center located in Moreno Valley. Incumbents in this position will float throughout the various patient care units.

Shift Requirements are as follows:
4 weekday shifts & 2 weekend shifts in a 4 week scheduling period ( 6 shifts total ).
Rate of pay: $51.09 per hour (Non-negotiable)
Differentials:
Evening Shift Diff (3p - 11p): $2.00 per hour
Night Shift Diff (11p - 7:30a): $5.00 per hour
A current BLS issued by the American Heart Association must be uploaded to profile at time of application to be considered.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Under supervision, uses the full scope of the Nurse Practice Act to assess, plan organize, and provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions; makes preliminary observations of, and prepares patients for, medical treatment.
• Assists physicians in administering treatments and in performing medical examinations, diagnostic tests and surgical operations.
• As directed, administers prescribed treatment and medications to patients; charts treatment and dispensing to patients of patients and records and reports significant changes in condition and general progress of patient.
• Counsels and advises patients, families and significant others regarding special medical problems and/or proper health care methods; prepares and maintains concise and complete records and reports.
• Instructs patients in carrying out physicians orders; may transcribe physician's orders to working records.
• May participate in quality assurance reviews; may act as a team leader or relief charge nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Successful completion of the coursework required to obtain a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Condition of Employment
In accordance with the California Department of Public Health Order dated August 5, 2021, health care facility workers who work in indoor settings where care is provided to patients or where patients have access for any purpose must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as follows: first dose of a one-dose regimen or second dose of a two-dose regimen, by September 30, 2021. Consideration may be given to candidates who are in the process of completing their vaccination regimen.
The Order allows for workers to be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing the facility with a declination form signed by the individual stating either of the following: (1) the worker is declining vaccination based on Religious Beliefs; or (2) the worker is excused from receiving any COVID-19 vaccine due to Qualifying Medical Reasons. Workers who are exempted from the vaccination requirements must observe all other infection control requirements, including face coverings and regular COVID testing at the frequency required by their work site.
A requirement of employment is to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or a completed COVID-19 Vaccination Declination form (filled out by the candidate and their medical provider as appropriate), during the pre-employment process. Failure to submit the required documentation may render a candidate ineligible to move forward in the process.

Other Requirements -License/Certificate: Must possess and maintain a current valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association for professional healthcare providers.

SEIU Per Diem employees participate in the 401(a) Temporary and Part-Time Employees' Retirement Plan and are required to contribute 3.75% of salary to the pension plan. The County contributes a matching amount.
