Registered Nurse - IR (BSN/RN) - New York Imaging

• Create individualized care plans on patient under their supervision and care.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs, weight and height.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
• Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
• Provide supportive resources on the patient and the families to promote positive outlook.
• Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.
• Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
• Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions in order to determine progress toward achieving expected outcomes.

• Valid RN License in the State of New York.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing a plus.
• 2 years minimum experience as an RN.
• 2 years working as a procedural nurse in Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab helpful.
• 2 years of critical care experience helpful.
• Excellent assessment, communication and organizational skills.
• Good computer knowledge.
• Infection Control Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
