About the Job
A prestigious hospital in Atlantic City, NJ has immediate needs for Registered Nurse to work in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry units
Type: Contract, Minimum of 4 weeks
Schedule: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00am - 07:30pm)
Location: Atlantic City, NJ
Requirements:
NJ State RN License required
BSN required
Minimum 1.5 years of current experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry unit
BLS & ACLS required
RN and Monitor tech monitors telemetry on the unit
Patient Ratio: Days- 1:5-7 & Nights 1:6-8
Primary Unit:5 Harmony- Will float to MS/Tele and overflow units, as needed
Patient Mix: Primarily respiratory patients- Stable/chronic vents, CMO/ End of life care titrate morphine & fentanyl drips, cardizem drips (no titrating)
Skills: Phlebotomy and able to Start IV's, Access Ports, Management & interpretation of dysrhythmia's, Surgical Drains, Chest Tubes
Experience with specific equipment: IV pump, PCA pump, Feeding tube pump, CPAP/BIPAP machine, Ports, PICCs, central lines, SCD machine, wound vacs, Ventilators (chronic stable vents)
Charting System: Cerner (exp. preferred)
