Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assess and identify patient needs, develop nursing diagnoses, and create care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Coordinate care to ensure seamless transitions across the healthcare continuum.
- Advocacy and Ethics: Advocate for ethical, holistic care that respects the dignity, rights, and values of patients. Partner in care planning to support patient autonomy.
- Learning and Development: Support a learning environment by facilitating education for patients, families, and healthcare teams, including mentoring and precepting students.
- Safety and Quality: Prioritize patient safety and quality care by integrating evidence-based practices and identifying and correcting safety concerns.
- Professional Growth: Engage in continuous professional development in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and specialty standards. Promote evidence-based practice and research integration.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and coordinate care teams, delegate tasks appropriately, and collaborate effectively with the inter-professional team to provide comprehensive care.
Required Qualification:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
