As an RN at Troy Regional Medical Center, you're responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients and the direction of others in patient care. Your care is based on patient needs, appropriate for the adult, or geriatric patient. You demonstrate a patient-centered approach to total nursing care, and your cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness in dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel are crucial. You'll utilize the six steps of the nursing process, ensuring the best care for our patients and the significance of your role in their care.
Prospective candidates will be responsible for utilizing the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience to deliver remarkable care to Geriatric Psychiatric patients. You will ensure all nursing processes follow hospital policies, procedures, and protocols. You will assist in the direct operations of the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit and collaborate with the Emergency Department and Med/Surg Unit to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
The position requires a current Alabama RN license with one to three years of previous psychiatric experience preferred but not required. BLS certification is required. The successful candidate will promote customer service initiatives and strive to provide remarkable service to our patients, visitors, and physicians.
Position Requirements:
Alabama RN License required.
Must have BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
ACLS preferred.
Must be able to multi-task in a high-paced environment and possess the ability to exercise sound judgment.
Professional, positive demeanor, and excellent customer service skills are also required.
