Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Resource
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Shift Type: Nights
Shift Notes: 12-hour nights with 36 hours guaranteed weekly
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Hourly Range: $31.00 - $43.00 (based on years of experience)
Salary Range: $64,480 - $89,440 (based on a 40-hour workweek)
Position Summary:
The Resource RN provides professional nursing care within the department assigned and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. The role includes meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care and determining priorities based on patient needs and patient flow. The RN will communicate with physicians regarding changes in the patient's status, diagnostic study results, and treatment plans, while responding promptly and accurately to patient conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Perform head-to-toe assessments for all patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- Adequately assess and manage patient pain, utilizing proper techniques and educating patients and families.
- Revise care plans based on patient responses, evaluating daily for effectiveness.
- Knowledgeable about medications, including proper administration and potential errors.
- Formulate and execute teaching plans for patients and families, adapting as necessary.
- Assist physicians with procedures and provide technical and manual skills as required.
- Monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status, treat dysrhythmias according to ACLS protocols.
- Provide care for patients requiring nutritional/metabolic support and fluid/electrolyte management.
- Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary care and assist with procedures across multiple units as necessary.
- Be flexible, organized, and able to work effectively under stressful situations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in MS, ED, and PCU required.
- Must be willing to float and jump in where needed in a Resource capacity.
- High proficiency in both Emergency Department (ED) and Medical/Surgical (MS)/PCU settings required.
- Must be willing to be assigned to a unit and assist with transfers, admissions, etc.
- Rural/small facility experience Highly Preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and "hit the ground running."
Certification Requirements:
- ACLS (AHA) Required
- BLS (AHA) Required
- PALS or ENPC Must obtain within 6 months of hire

- 1 Supervisory signed reference (from the past two years of employment)
- License/certifications must be uploaded with the profile (ACLS and BLS - Facility will not pend certs)

State License Requirements:
- New Hampshire or Compact RN license must be in-hand at submission (Facility will not pend).
