Position Summary:
Our Registered Nurses (RN) are delegated the responsibility of providing direct and individualized nursing care to residents. The RN will work as part of the nursing team to assess resident needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
Specific Duties:
- Monitor all aspects of Resident care, including diet and physical activity.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the condition of the Resident.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies.
- Observe and record significant conditions and reactions and notify supervisor or physician of resident's condition and reaction to medications, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Consult and collaborate with other members of the clinical team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate resident care plans.
- Provide Resident and family education on procedures and treatments in an effort to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviate apprehension.
- Report any issues or problems that may arise to the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
- Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
- Attend and conduct required in-services and other required meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Long term care experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing in a long-term care environment
- Must be a Registered nurse in good standing and currently licensed in Illinois
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
