Registered Nurse (RN) - Revive Orthopedics

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) that will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to determine medical problems/conditions and
• Documents in EMR
• Obtains and records the patient's vital signs and weight.
• Assists physician's orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients.
• Collects samples, such as urine and blood from patients for testing and performs routine laboratory tests on samples.
• Schedules diagnostic studies/surgery and orders x-rays.
• Prepares injections, aspirations, application, and removal of casts, splints, and braces; performs dressing changes and removes sutures staples.
• Monitors biohazardous waste and prepares for disposal.
• Prepares Drug screens and Dispenses medications.
• Review medical treatment with the patient as instructed by the provider.
• Obtains x-ray and imaging results imports outside discs.
• Serves as liaison between patient and physician.
• Provides staff coverage for other clinical personnel.
• Completes applications for Handicap parking permits, FMLA,
• May include up to 10 hours a week of marketing (visiting referral sources as needed)
• Willing to learn phlebotomy at our practice
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to different practice locations as needed
• Disability forms, and Work excuses.
• Schedules all OR cases and maintain surgery schedule.
• Responsible for all patient phone calls, ensuring proper documentation in EMR of action taken/advice given.
• Lifting up to 10-15lbs frequently 20-50lbs Occasionally

Bilingual in English & Spanish ( but not required)

Education And Experience

High school diploma or GED required.

One to three years of related experience in the medical field.

Orthopedic experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
RN License Required
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant

(RMA), Registered Orthopaedic Technologist (ROT), Orthopaedic

Technologist Certified (OTC), Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC), or

A certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.

Current CPR certification preferred( but not required).

BLS Certified preferred( but not required).
