Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Labor & Delivery team in San Antonio. As an RN in our L&D department, you will provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the childbirth process. This position offers both day and night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in labor and delivery.
Monitor and support mothers and babies throughout labor and birth.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care.
Educate and support patients and their families about childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, using critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery or maternal-child nursing preferred.
BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
