Job Title: Registered Nurse - Step Down
Neuro Suite- Neurology stepdown unit
Locals (less than 50 miles) = $## less than posted bill rate
12 hour nights
36 hours
OT after 48
BLS, ACLS required
RN needs to be ACLS certified, cardiac certified
1:03 patient ratio
Common patient diagnosis: Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures. Occasionally: syncope, hyper/hypotension vascular surgeries.
Special procedures: Chest tube insertions, EVD insertions, Halos
Common medication: Antiseizure medications, antipsychotic medications, antihypertensive, DM.
May be required to float to ICU, Surgical stepdown unit, ER
Common equipment: Bard IV pumps, Client cardiac monitor, EPCD, sit-to-stand tool, Hoyer, transfer boards, seizure pads.
EPIC charting
Staff may be required to float within scope between the WMC (33-57 Harrison St, Johnson City, NY 13790) and BGH (10-42 Mitchell Ave, Binghamton, NY 13903) campuses when determined by UHS Leadership.
