Job Summary:

EliteCare Medical Staffing Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at a Level 5 Trauma Center in Rugby, ND. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with various medical emergencies, including strokes and STEMIs. This position requires the ability to work independently, initiate IVs, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.

Start IVs and administer medications as prescribed.

Monitor and document patient status and responses to treatment.

Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and other healthcare team members.

Participate in emergency procedures as required.

Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in patient care.

Qualifications:

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state.

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC (PALS preferred).

Previous emergency nursing experience preferred.

Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

Level 5 Trauma Center with 4 ER beds and 2 Trauma Bays.

Patient load averages between 6-15 patients per day.

Staffing includes mid-level providers (NPs) available in-house 24/7.

Charge Nurse serves as Patient Care Coordinator with backup assistance to Med/Surg when needed.

Shift Information:

Schedule: Self-scheduling with guidelines for 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM).

Weekend Requirements: 2 out of every 6 weekends.

Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday.

Call or standby requirements only during low patient volumes.
