Location: North Adams, Massachusetts
Status: Full-Time
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00pm to 7:30 am; Rotating weekends and holidays
Pay: To be discussed with Bryant Staffing Solutions Recruiter ($3.50 differential)
Sign-on Bonus: $9,000

To work with the same personnel in the development and implementation of patient-centered care. To work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Physicians, Staff, and Directors.

Summary:
We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist who responds to outpatient areas as needed and works in the ED to provide responsive state-of-the-art respiratory care. Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use.
- Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Respond to emergencies, providing advanced respiratory support and life-saving measures.
- Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in medical records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Six months of Staff Therapist experience is preferred but not required.
- Education and Training:
- Graduated from AMA-approved program of Respiratory Therapy at the Registry level.
- On a yearly basis meet all hospital mandatory education requirements.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license
- NBRC-RRT- National Board Respiratory Care RRT
- CPR
- Other Requirements:
- Highly effective and positive interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Effective problem solving, team building skills, and willingness to participate in the education process both as a student and provider of education. Ability to vary shift hours and days to meet schedule needs.
