ARIZONA GENERAL HOSPITAL
Responsibilities
Acts as a resource for the Patient Access Department and patient access supervisor. Assist with hiring. Responsible for training new staff, auditing charts, and process/policy implementation. Assist Facility Administrator at their request.
+ Courteously and Professionally greet patients.
+ Obtain accurate demographic insurance information.
+ Correctly code and verify insurance coverage.
+ Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs.
+ Answer all incoming calls to the facility.
+ Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions.
+ Process medical records requests.
+ Initiate transfer of patients needing higher level of care.
+ Train new staff and provide continues and ongoing education to all PAR staff.
+ Be a subject matter expert and a resource to PAR staff.
+ Prepare monthly paperwork for scanning.

Qualifications
+ 1 year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
+ Advanced Computer skills, 2 years of customer service experience, ability to multi-task
+ Medical terminology, insurance verification, Collections, schedule maintenance
+ 1 year of management, supervisor, or lead experience (preferred)
Pay Range
$18.00 - $22.42 /hour
