About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and provide a positive first impression of the practice.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries.
- Verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and managing patient files.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
- Handle confidential patient information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic, for appointment scheduling and patient data entry.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, faxing, and mailing documents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
