Registration Coordinator - Helen Keller Hospital, PT OT Speech Therapy, Full Time, 1st Shift - Huntsville Hospital Health System

The job shall include, but not be limited to the following: Under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the day to day coordination of all clerical activities in the front office of the Rehab department, which includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, wound care, and sports medicine. Responsible for the completion of all appropriate paperwork, answering of the telephone, completion of correspondence, and other designated duties as seen necessary to assist the department staff in completion of their duties and operation of the department. Greets and directs patients, family, and visitors to appropriate location and persons. Develops new approaches to make department function in an effective manner.

Education:  Associates degree or five years of office experience preferred

Experience: Three - five years previous office experience is preferred.

• Ability to manage a stressful work environment and handle multiple tasks with many interruptions.
• Ability and willingness to work long irregular hours.
• Independent use of all equipment in the normal realm of usage for a secretary; such as typewriter, transcription equipment, computer, telephone, copier, fax machine.
• Ability to handle heavy volume of public contact.
