Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The incumbent serves as the administrator for the system-wide policy and procedure database and coordinates the Policy and Procedure Committee Meetings. They act as the subject matter expert for the policy approval process and assist policy owners with ensuring policies are current and accurate. Additionally, they support the functions of the UC Irvine Health regulatory program in the assessment, measurements, and reporting of ongoing compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health, and other regulatory entities. Supports and coordinates TJC accreditation and disease-specific surveys, licensing activities, and other regulatory surveys as identified; works in collaboration with key stakeholders in the development of corrective action plans in response to compliance/deficiency findings; develops, coordinates and participates in the execution of educational activities and materials for ongoing survey readiness of all levels of staff and residents

Required Qualifications:
- Strong data analysis experience
- Previous experience in survey management, tracers, validation of corrective actions or structured rounds
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Four to seven years of relevant hospital experience or minimum 3 years’ clinical experience in an acute care hospital
- Familiar with TJC, CDPH, and CMS regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills and the ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, hospital administration or related field
- Ability to read and correctly interpret complex regulations, contracts, and policies
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to develop, organize, motivate and coordinate groups across the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in drafting and/or reviewing healthcare policies
- Previous experience working in a Regulatory Affairs or Quality & Patient Safety healthcare setting
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience with Policystat
