Regulatory Affairs Specialist (30 hours a week) - Integrated Talent Strategies

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to work in the Perrysburg, OH area.  This is a direct hire position that offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Assist Regulatory Affairs department in a variety of research projects, regulatory submissions, and customer requests. The potential work areas are listed below. The preferred candidate will be expected to learn, assist, and manage certain work areas. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Critically evaluate state, federal, and international regulatory requirements, identify issues/risks, and develop proactive plans to address challenges.
• Provide customer support and knowledge regarding regulatory requirements related to: California Proposition 65, Volatile Organic Compounds, California SB 258 (CA RTK), DOT hazmat, OSHA 1910:1200, Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA), Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act), Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), and Consumer Product Safety Act 
• Be a regulatory Subject Matter Expert (SME) within one or more specific product categories (Consumer Cleaning Products, Multipurpose Commercial Cleaners, Industrial Floor Care, FDA Regulated Cosmetics, FDA Regulated Sanitizing Products, EPA Disinfectant Products, Industrial Water Treatment Chemicals)  
• Review and approve I&I and Consumer chemical product labels for compliance with applicable state, federal, and international regulations. 
• Assist with EPA disinfectant product registrations and renewals.
• Assist with FDA OTC and Cosmetics product registrations.      
• Assist with International regulatory submissions including EU REACH.
• Author, review, file, and distribute Safety Data Sheets for multiple countries and languages using a Safety Data Sheet software program
• Assist with regulatory product submissions within the UL WERCs database system. 
• Approve hazardous chemical vessel and air shipments. 
• Attend seminars, conferences, and workshops to track new trends in regulatory activities and interact with trade associations and other regulatory professionals.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary to accomplish tasks on a timely basis.
• Must be detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal assistance and accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other departments. Should have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

• 4-year college degree (BA, BS) preferably in the sciences. 
• 1 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Quality Control/Assurance.
