We provide administrative and organizational services to simplify the processes of lead-generation, marketing, billing and collecting payments from patients and insurers. Our teams support over 1700 independent mental health providers, and in turn over 23,000 clients per week across 5 states and virtually via Telehealth.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regulatory and Compliance Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization adheres to all regulatory and compliance standards, particularly in the realm of mental health and psychiatric care. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in HIPAA, PHI, and other compliance issues, capable of developing and leading comprehensive training programs, and managing complex information requests.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary expert on all HIPAA, PHI, and compliance issues, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and lead training sessions on compliance topics for staff, including contracted therapists, prescribers, and unlicensed personnel.
- Handle complex information requests, including the release of information and subpoenas, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Create and update policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance, ensuring they are communicated effectively across the organization.
- Ability to learn and stay informed about regulatory and compliance rules for mental health and psychiatric care in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and other states as the organization expands.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance on compliance concerns to all staff, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations and prepare reports on findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other teams in the organization with regulatory or compliance concerns; billing, contracting, credentialing, intake, operations, etc.
- Proactively identify changes to regulations or compliance rules and provide guidance to leadership on how they may impact the business & provide recommendations for compliance that fit the business strategy.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Law, Business) with specialized training in compliance.
- Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the healthcare or mental health sector.
- Contribution to cross-functional team.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage complex information requests and compliance concerns.

Work Environment
This is a fully remote position open nationally. However, preference for those who live in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, or Arizona.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000 - $85,000.00 per year
