POSITION SUMMARY:
Regulatory and Program Compliance Administrator is responsible for LRC’s overall regulatory compliance of OPWDD programs and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Conducting internal surveys in advance of OPWDD Surveys
a. Identify issues and develop place to correct them
b. Work with interdisciplinary and program staff to implement corrections
c. Provide technical assistance and training when necessary
2) Service as the direct liaison with OPWDD DQI survey team
a. Be present for surveys
b. Develop POCA’s when necessary in conjunction with appropriate staff/management
c. Provide training and technical assistance for implementation of POCAs, including certifying the completion of required corrections within time frames
3) Fire Safety
a. Assumes responsibility for the ongoing review and monitoring of fire safety protections and initiative.
b. Provides physical plant walk-through of all residential and day program settings
c. Verifies appropriate safety equipment is present at service sites
d. Liaison with OFPC state Fire Auditor for OFPC audits
e. Tracking of monthly fire drills to ensure regulatory compliance, reviewing drills to address any issues or concerns.
f. Tracking of observed drills to ensure regulatory compliance
4) Committee Work:
a. Provides direction and oversight of the Human Rights, Informed Consent and Psychotropic Medication Committees
b. Remains current on law and regulation
c. Facilitates monthly committee meetings
d. Leads regulatory compliance meetings and identifies repairs in the programs, ADMs, systemic issues, and discusses audit trends.
e. Providing regulatory insight to the Independence Ambassadors and assisting in updating polices as needed.
f. Assist Safety Committee in identifying any trends or concerns to develop an agency response.
5) Money Management:
a. Update and review all money management policies to reflect regulatory and agency updates.
b. Yearly review ledgers for 25% of individuals who Living Resources is the Representative Payee for.
c. Conduct on site counts of funds at agency programs.
d. Identify and address with the interdisciplinary team any discovered issues.
6) Training
a. Assists the agency’s training department as needed in areas of need as identified through audits or at the request of other departments.
b. Trains staff regarding OPWDD, federal and State regulations and POCA and DQI auditing processes.
c. Fire Safety Instructor to program service staff
d. Conduct monthly/yearly Money Management training as needed for agency management.
7) Agency related tasks:
a. Facilitate/coordinate on any Agency related projects to support regulatory and quality initiatives
8) Working Knowledge
a. Maintains knowledge of OPWDD, federal and State regulations and provides recommendations to the Associate Executive of Program Services regarding the need for program modifications as indicated
b. Provides active participation for routine information sharing, problem solving and crisis intervention as needed; promoting good communication between all interdisciplinary team members and Leadership Team
Requirements
· Associate degree and at least 5 years’ experience working in the field; or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experienced preferred.
· Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
