Position Description:
This position is primarily responsible for preparing state and federal reports for submission to the proper state and federal agencies. Other responsibilities may include reviewing and preparation of other air-related regulatory documents. The Regulatory and Reporting Engineer achieves these objectives by remotely accessing customer systems, reviewing data, troubleshooting errors, and generating error free compliance reports.

Position Description:
This position is primarily responsible for preparing state and federal reports for submission to the proper state and federal agencies. Other responsibilities may include reviewing and preparation of other air-related regulatory documents. The Regulatory and Reporting Engineer achieves these objectives by remotely accessing customer systems, reviewing data, troubleshooting errors, and generating error free compliance reports.
As a Regulatory and Reporting Engineer, you will:
- Responsible for the research, analysis, and documentation of all Federal and State air emissions regulatory matters affecting electric power generation and other large air pollution sources, including 40CFR Part 75, 40CFR Part 60, 40CFR Part 98, Good Neighbor Plan, CSAPR, etc.
- Works with clients on regulatory products and projects for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
- Interfaces with clients, potential clients and internal staff
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records, reports, memoranda, and related documents
- Creates/updates electronic/hardcopy monitoring plans and Quality Assurance/Quality Control plans
- Stays current on regulations, requirements, and reporting methods
- Prepares regulatory documents
- Perform the following per customer contract
- Reviews Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) for CEMS
- Reviews periodic QA checks for compliance Prepare permit and/or EDR reports
- Enter QA test and certification data
- Prepares and/or conducts trainings, webinars, and presentations in a small group setting for internal ESC Spectrum employees and external customers
- Perform small DAS configuration changes as needed
- May assist support or engineering teams on occasion with reporting issues
- May assist with Title V permit review, hardcopy monitoring plan and Quality Assurance/Quality Control plan preparation for CEMS
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or other technically related field
- 2-5 years of related experience in environmental regulatory field a plus
- Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications including word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and presentation software
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot air emissions software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with peers in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Comfortable interacting frequently with customers
- Proven top performer in past jobs
