We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role involves reviewing proposed scopes of work (modifications, collocations, new easements) and applying knowledge of federal and state regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include ordering or completing assessments, regulatory filings, and electronic submissions to the FCC and FAA. You will develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local offices, as well as regulatory personnel, to ensure smooth processing of applications. Additional duties include operating electronic tracking systems to review and approve tower constructions and installations, responding to internal and external inquiries on regulatory matters, and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
The base range for this contract position is $25 - $35/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Key responsibilities include ordering or completing assessments, regulatory filings, and electronic submissions to the FCC and FAA. You will develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local offices, as well as regulatory personnel, to ensure smooth processing of applications. Key Responsibilities
- Review scope of work and apply knowledge of federal and state regulations and company policies to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings for the FCC, FAA, and other regulatory bodies as needed.
- Develop relationships with regulatory personnel to expedite application processing.
- Manage electronic tracking systems to monitor construction and modification processes.
- Respond to inquiries regarding site regulatory information from internal and external customers.
- Ensure accurate documentation of regulatory approvals and compliance.
- Interpret and implement FAA, FCC, and NEPA guidelines.
- Handle compliance-related inquiries, including due diligence reviews and responses to alleged violations.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of the wireless communications industry and government administrative procedures.
- Experience preparing or reviewing FAA Forms 7460-1 and -2, FCC Forms 854, and state department applications.
- Experience with pre-construction evaluation, permitting, and NEPA reviews.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in PC skills.
