Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent serves as the subject matter expert and as a processor for the Boards of Acupuncture, Osteopathic Medicine and Speech-Language Pathologist, Audiology.
The incumbent will:
+ + Process applications in the licensing database (LEIDS) as appropriate and issue correspondence concerning application deficiencies to applicants in process or licensure to approved applicants.
+ Assist with administrative duties related to the processing of applications including, but not limited to processing supplemental documentation, preparing supplemental documentation for scanning, processing voluntary relinquishment, and preparing refund forms.
+ Respond to general inquiries from the public by telephone, email, and in writing in an appropriate and timely fashion. Interpret customer questions and provide answers to general and complex regulatory questions. Provide application status updates and directions to applicants and licensees concerning licensing processes and the submission of applications or requests .
+ Update licensee information in LEIDS and maintain proper records. Complete all necessary forms for transmittal to the imaging office in Management Services.
+ Summarize and prepare application files and supporting documentation for review by Board chairs, committees, Boards, or Councils when appropriate.
+ Assist office staff with special projects or mass mailings, and perform related work as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally.
+ Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently.
+ Ability to learn, understand, and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies, and procedures for licensing.
+ Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities to meet strict deadlines.
+ Ability to concentrate, provide great attention to detail, and maintain a pre-approved work schedule.
+ Ability to work independently and establish and maintain dependable, effective working relationships with others.
+ Ability to learn and utilize job-specific software such as LEIDS and AxiomPro and office equipment such as phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.
+ Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office software and in using Windows-based computers.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those who meet the following minimum requirements:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2 years’ experience that includes data entry, document preparation, computer software use, evaluating legal documents or evaluating for compliance with regulations, customer service, or handling sensitive information.
+ College education can substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
