Qualifications:Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Rehab Billing Associate with experience using NetHealth or similar electronic
medical record (EMR) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently
processing billing transactions related to rehabilitation services. This position requires attention to detail,
strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Utilize NetHealth or similar EMR system to review and verify patient demographic and insurance
information.
• Process billing transactions for rehabilitation services, including but not limited to physical
therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
• Generate and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor claim statuses and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and address any issues related to rejected claims.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to ensure accurate
billing and reimbursement.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and record keeping.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and coding guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and other stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High School / GED
Experience: 1-3 years
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during
working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written
communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all
business associates outside of the health campus.
