Rehab Financial Specialist/Medical Biller - Daytime Hours + No Weekends!

Champion Rehab is looking for a Financial Specialist to assist with Medical Billing and other financial duties associated with the rehab department. Primary duties will include; generating all claims for the rehab department, maintaining accounts receivable within acceptable facility parameters, tracking all insurance guidelines/parameters, and serving as the main contact for all insurance companies and clients requesting insurance/billing information surrounding rehab charges.

The Rehab Financial Specialist will assist with Medical Billing and other financial duties associated with the rehab department. 

Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

• Serve as the main contact for all insurance companies and clients requesting insurance/billing information
• Monitor all new client information to ensure accuracy and completion
• Determine insurance benefits for all new clients and determine the need for prior authorization
• Collect co-pays as appropriate
• Submit and track all insurance prior authorizations.  Resubmitting as needed.
• Maintain all Rehab Department Billing Files
• Follow daily deposit protocol
• Complete all Rehab Department Billing following policies and procedures
• Generate FIT program billing
• Generate claims for all insurance companies following billing procedures
• Follow up on all AR's, including written and verbal communication, and documentation of attempts at collections to be reviewed by the Rehab Director
• Maintain accounts receivables within acceptable facility parameters
• Be prepared for weekly and/or monthly AR meetings regarding Rehab Account Receivables
• Typing of letters and form development as requested by Rehab Director
• Communicate professionally and effectively on the telephone and in person
• Report to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Assist the Rehab Director with the development of new financial/billing procedures within the rehab department (i.e., research, development, implementation, monitoring)
• Oversee Rehab Financial Assistant to ensure efficiency in daily duties
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab

Qualifications

• Must have experience or educational background in medical billing and/or accounts receivable
• Must be proficient with clerical skills (typing, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc.)
• Must have demonstrated computer skills
• Must have a working knowledge of all office equipment
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills and be able to manage several tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be skilled in oral and written communication
• Must be able to screen phone calls and relay accurate information to appropriate persons
• Must maintain company and patient confidentiality
• Must display patience, consideration, and tact when interacting with residents, patients, families, visitors, and staff
• Be neat, clean, and dressed appropriately, presenting a professional appearance
• Must be able to follow instructions and carry out requested tasks promptly and independently
• Must be in good mental and physical health
• Must have a genuine interest in the physically and psychologically disabled person

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM. No weekends!
