Reimbursement Resource Representative - Payer Schedule Support - Millennium Physician Group

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time / Reimbursement Resource Representative Payer Schedule Support to join our Quality Team in the Fort Myers, FL, area. We are looking for a new team member who is -positive, energetic, able to multi-task, and loves patient interaction. Our Reimbursement Resource Representative-PSS is responsible for the formatting, uploading, and maintenance of MPG Fee and Allowable Schedules based upon the specifics of our group or individual contracts with payers. He/She is responsible for performing scheduled reports and subsequent research of data to ensure schedules are loaded accurately, and carriers are providing reimbursement in accordance with these schedules. The PSS will also perform ad hoc reporting as requested by management regarding Fee Schedules, Allowable Schedules, Carrier specific trending, etc.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Effectively format, upload, monitor, and report on MPG Fee and Allowable schedules in the practice management system.
• Supports the management team with scheduled and ad hoc reporting on all payment schedules as assigned.
• Meet timelines for uploading new schedules to ensure the accuracy of contractual adjustments per payer contracts.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills with co-workers and insurance carriers
• Advanced knowledge of CPT, fee affecting Modifiers and contract verbiage
• Correspondence & voicemails returned within one business day
• Claim adjudication carrier rules are current and meet/exceed monthly performance goals, expectations, and reviews.
• Monitors reimbursement trends for potential carrier contract issues and effectively communicates these issues with management.
• Actively participates in team meetings and educational opportunities.

Required Knowledge and Experience 

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in health care and insurance industry and thorough knowledge of insurance carrier billing and reimbursement, CPT, modifiers, and fee schedule differences required.

Required Skills and Abilities 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. The individual will be required to perform venipuncture. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
