About the job
The Product Lifecycle Team is looking for a Release Manager to help manage and coordinate work with the various phases of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) (Assess, Plan, Build & Commercialize, and Release). Our team works to provide governance and frameworks for managing, evaluating, and communicating where a product is within its lifecycle, and coordinating actions that SAS should take or needs to take based on the lifecycle evaluation. We work with teams across the organization to ensure that not only is SAS making an informed decision about the product but to ensure that SAS is coordinated in its efforts to implement the decisions that have been made.
As a Product Release Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for ensuring that products come through the framework efficiently and effectively, resulting in a successful release.
- Manage the creation and documentation of key deliverables of the PDLC (Business Case, Delivery Plan, Commitment Targets).
- Communicate and report on status of items with the PDLC to the rest of the Product Lifecycle team and other stakeholders of the product.
- Work with cross divisional teams to set an operating model and delivery plan for the approved product.
- Schedule and manage regular Build & Commercialize status meetings with cross divisional resources to ensure that the product is progressing as needed and identify any risks to the timely delivery of the product to market.
- Ensure products are ready for assessment at the various (ready, set, go) gates within the PDLC framework.
- Be accountable for the successful navigation of the framework to get products to the market as planned.
- Ensures all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

- Proven ability leading cross divisional projects or interdivisional complex projects.
- Strong communication and meeting facilitation.

- You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
