Job Overview:The project’s Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Manager develops, implements, monitors, and continuously improves the RCM program to analyze data from Maximo that is collected to perform failure analysis. This position works closely with multiple departments and personnel to ensure the highest possible equipment availability and produce measurable results in Safety/Environmental/Quality/Productivity and financial performance through the effective and efficient implementation of RCM processes and best practices.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provides mechanical engineering support in the design, construction, and maintenance of any and all facilities requirements to include, but not limited to, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Leads and prepares design criteria documents, calculations, drawings and specifications for mechanical systems.
- Leads and performs a variety of complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/processes/techniques.
- Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment.
- Ensures the highest standards are achieved and maintained in terms of safety, environmental performance, quality, and efficiency
- Communicates goals and performance standards.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of contractors, as required, for specific repairs.
- Adheres to the strictest safety procedures and makes recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Responsible for mechanical planning and design work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities.
- Utilizes a professional knowledge of mechanical, standard engineering theory and techniques, and codes and regulations to perform requirements determinations, technical assistance, and conventional design work.
- Supports mechanical projects during construction, including coordinating answers to Requests for Information, Change Orders, and solving problems that arise in the field.
- Provides requirements determination for future projects including preliminary scope definition and cost estimates.
- Provides technical assistance and solutions to customers requesting engineering expertise.
- Verifies that programming, design requirements, and funding coordination is complete for each phase of a project.
- Consulting engineer for mechanical related design aspects of assigned projects. Provides professional consultations on a broad range of difficult mechanical engineering issues and problems, and advice to requesting organizations.
- Assist in determining requirements, assembling requirements document, attending RFP/Design charrettes and the RFP/Design processes.
- Engages Engineering Support personnel for computer aided design and drafting (CADD) and for sketch production using GIS.
- Promotes sustainable design and development principles (LEED) in professional activities.
- Serves as mechanical engineer-of-record for design documents and reports covering mechanical systems.
- Provides support during construction activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Four-year college degree in Engineering from an ABET certified engineering school.
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- Five (5) years’ experience in a Reliability Engineering or RCM Technician role
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
