Reliability Engineer
Job Summary:
Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect facility manufacturing processes. A SME who specializes in ensuring that machinery and methods are reliable and efficient. Responsible for developing strategies to prevent failures and minimize facility downtime.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Identifying risks
Identifying and managing risks that could affect a business's operations or asset reliability
- Developing strategies
Developing strategies to prevent failures and minimize downtime
- Analyzing data
Analyzing equipment failure data and using data from testing, warranty claims, and field performance to make decisions
- Designing and implementing
Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment, as well as new equipment and processes
- Working with maintenance
Working closely with maintenance teams to design and implement maintenance plans
- Providing technical support
Providing technical support to production, technical personnel, and maintenance management
- Developing inspection criteria
Developing the inspection criteria and functionality tests that businesses use to monitor equipment health
- Performing analyses
Performing preliminary hazards analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, criticality analysis, fault tree analysis, and event tree analysis
Directly Supervises: Maintenance Technicians
Education / Experience:
- Bachelors Degree Required in an engineering discipline
- Two years' experience in manufacturing
- Previous supervisory or lead experience a plus.
- Experience and understanding of the importance in a Maintenance Management Program.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- ERP Systems
- Must be highly proficient with MS Office (word, excel).
Experience:
- Manufacturing experience: 2 years (Required)
- Reliability systems: 2 years (Required)
