For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com** **The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be required based on business demand.** **As a Reliability Technician, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:** **Act as a lead for our predictive maintenance and RCA programs. You will provide additional support to maintenance teams with development of strategies that help create processes and programs with the ability to sustain low operating costs and improve asset reliability. You will not only perform evaluations, but also train teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and increase uptime. Daily tasks will include:** **Develop and maintain the reliability program.** **Perform predictive maintenance routes that will include Electrical IR, Mechanical IR, Ultrasonic Lubrication, Ultrasonic Leak Detection, and Machinery Lubrication Analysis** **Perform Facilities Asset Condition Assessments** **Review the installation process and assesses the reliability of the newly installed assets.** **Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement.** **Ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety systems.** **Provide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related risks that could adversely impact site operations.** **Identifying potential project problems or opportunities and analyzing the issues, using all appropriate resources, to develop the optimum approach to mitigating and/or exploiting problems.** **Identifying opportunities, performing root cause analysis, and developing reliability standards associated with proprietary machine tools and testing.** **Generating and following through to completion all Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for improved reliability of key assets and value.** **Leading overall completion of Root Cause and Corrective Actions.** **Supporting MRO Specialist with the creation of critical spares generation and share responsibility for ongoing spare parts management program that meets the sites operational needs.** **Leading weekly continuous improvement activities and communicate wins and barriers to client and Amentum management.** **Performing high level maintenance planning and materials.** **Planning for shutdowns and turnarounds.** **Developing predictive maintenance strategies and training tools.** **Performing risk-based asset management and root cause.** **Supporting various special projects, asset management, troubleshooting, and metric and performance measurement development.** **Managing the use and implementation of Real Wear headsets at the site for optimal reliability training for all maintenance technicians** **Use of predictive maintenance tools (IR, Ultrasound, Vibration, Lubrication Analysis).** **As the Reliability Specialist you will be expected to:** **Work in a team environment with a one team mentality; be friendly, respectful, empathetic, and professional to teammates and clients.** **Value and respect employee authenticity and demonstrate cultural awareness to create a memorable experience and a respectful workplace.** **Balance workload and multiple tasks while focusing on attention to detail and prioritizing assignments.** **Take initiative to resolve issues that arise and solve problems independently; shift priorities as needed or requested by management and remain flexible** **Other duties as assigned by management.** **Communication** **Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint** **Ability to communicate clearly via phone** **Ability to work closely with customer during site emergencies.** **Excellent oral and written communications** **Excellent interpersonal skills, i.e., listening to customer needs, articulating path forward and giving solutions that provide value to the customer, etc.** **Accurately document electronic and paper cataloging system to provide information to customer or regulatory personnel.** **Strive for quick complaint resolution; to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues through operational knowledge.** **Minimum Requirements** **2 years of experience in engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance projects involving planning/scheduling, or a related field.** **Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as MAXIMO, EAMS, or other database systems.** **Ability to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.** **Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.** **Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.** **Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.** **Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.** **Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.** **This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.** **Some physical/special requirements include:** **Regularly lift to 50 lbs** **Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding** **Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.** **Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift** **Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions** **Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding** **Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.** **Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.** **Preferred Requirements** **Technical degree preferred.** **Knowledgeable in best-in-class maintenance practices and predictive maintenance activities.** **Demonstrated performance as a Reliability Engineer on previous industrial/manufacturing projects in the Facility/Process Maintenance Management Industry.** **Demonstrated technical background of operations in an industrial/manufacturing/research facilities environment, including experience related to production equipment projects.** **Ability to focus on customer relations and client partnering.** **Certifications in Level I Ultrasound, Vibration, IR, or Oil/Lubrication.** **Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.** **Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.** **Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.** **Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.** **Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.** **Excellent verbal and written communication skills.** Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
