About the Job
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in network engineering, including extensive experience with Fortinet technologies. This role requires a professional with at least 10 years of experience in the field, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to installing, configuring, and maintaining Fortinet equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support organizational needs.
*This is a FULLY REMOTE role with minimal "local" travel initially. Prefer candidates in EST/CST time zones*

Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain network architectures, including LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.
- Install, configure, and manage Fortinet networking equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Install, configure, and manage Fortinet VPN services with Azure as identity provider.
- Configure security across multiple locations both physical and logical.
- Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network using FortiManager.
- Implement and manage security tools and policies to ensure the safeguarding of the network against potential threats.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and network optimization.
- Create network documentation, including diagrams, as-builts, configuration templates, and inventory management using automated APIs to batch data gathering.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of network engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet products
- Experience with FortiManager and automation of data gathering for large, templated configurations preferred.
- Proven ability to design and optimize functional networks.
- Comprehensive understanding of network connectivity, technologies, and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, and VPNs.
