This is an AWESOME opportunity to work on setting up and maintaining infrastructure in Azure to enable adoption of AI and Windows Workloads as part of ET's Cloud First Strategy.The Software Engineer chosen for this opportunity will be responsible for enabling and maintaining Microsoft Azure in ways that make adoption simple for product teams and will involve all aspects of platform enablement including networking, security, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and resiliency.QualificationsHighly Desired Skills:Experience with Microsoft Azure component developmentExperience in automating the deployment of infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) using TerraformExperience building scalable Terraform modules that will be consumed by the other teams within Enterprise TechnologyExperience writing and maintaining serverless applications and the infrastructure surrounding (such as Function Apps and Logic Apps) to automate tasksExperience working with Microsoft Entra ID permissions and applications (Enterprise App Registrations, AppRegistration Service Principals, Managed Service Identities)Knowledge of Least Privileged Principles and how to apply these principles in a cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure using Role Based Access Control (RBAC)Additional Skills:Knowledge of Azure Policy and how to apply Policy Definitions and Initiatives within Microsoft AzureKnowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Best PracticesProgramming experience with a common language (Python, Go, or another object-oriented language such as C# or Java)Experience with version control systems such as GitExperience writing easy to follow technical documentationUnderstanding of basic networking services in Microsoft Azure (VNETs, Subnets, Network Security Groups)Understanding of the Microsoft Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Landing ZonesJoin State Farm!As a Fortune 50 company, we hire the best employees to serve our customers, making us a leader in the insurance and financial services industry
