Responsibilities:

We are seeking Experienced (3+ years) AWS Software Engineers who are actively deploying and servicing cloud native applications within the AWS platform to join our State Farm team. The AWS Software Engineer's role in projects is to build, maintain, monitor and/or integrate AWS-based computer systems and data.

Your Responsibilities May Include 

• Designs and develops full-stack applications using industry-adopted languages and frameworks
• Champions an innovative mind set to deliver AWS cloud native solutions
• Leads strategic work across the product and/or suite and utilizes application architecture to increase efficiency and effectiveness of complex issues
• Provides highest level of support for problem and issue resolution
• Influences and provides direction on product development practices, coding, data and testing standards, code reviews and software architecture
• Conducts research and integrate industry best practices into processes and potential solutions

We Are Looking For Candidates With:

• Experience using industry tools, frameworks, and languages such as Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, GoLang, SQL, Scala, Spring, Spark, etc.
• Experience with building, implementing and maintaining multi-tier cloud-native applications.
• Experience using AWS core services (IAM, KMS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, Route 53, etc.)
• Ability to use Terraform or a related Infrastructure as Code technology to manage Infrastructure
• Certifications; AWS and HashiCorp a plus
• Ability to create pipelines/automation to deploy changes to production with quality and DevOps best practices
• Ability to quickly adapt and thrive in a changing, highly collaborative agile team environment
• Strong aptitude to learn new languages and frameworks
• Experience supporting applications, including troubleshooting, logging and observability (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, Dynatrace)

Compensation range:  $85,500- $168,000 based on skills and qualifications. 

For Los Angeles candidates: Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.

For San Francisco candidates: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

For NY(state), CT, CA candidates:

• Potential salary range: $85,460.00- $198,750.00   
• Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 15% of base salary

For Hawaii and Vermont candidates:

• Potential salary range: $85,460- $168,000
• Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 15% of base salary

For Colorado, Washington DC, Washington (state), and Maryland candidates::

• Compensation Range:   $85,460.00-$184,800.00
• Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 15% of base salary
