This role is remote and you must live in Florida.
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Manages administration of the Pre-Construction and Estimating competitive bid process, contractor pre-qualification process and other administrative initiatives related to the department function, goals and objectives. Assists with and promotes appropriate and timely communication between the department, division, various company operations teams and third-party contractors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under limited supervision, applies considerable pre-construction and estimating administration knowledge and skills in resourceful and effective ways to execute a broad range of assignments involving all phases of the bid process, from initiation, contractor pre-qualification, planning and preparation to final execution, demonstrating good judgement.
Provides day-to-day support of the competitive bid process.
Provides administrative support functions of the Contractor Pre-Qualification process.
Maintains high-level of confidentiality at all times with respect to all company and department matters, and various department files and records.
Maintains adequate inventory levels of necessary office supplies, forms, cameras and computers.
Collaborates and assists other internal groups as necessary.
Participates in the development and improvement of various office and field forms, and communication practices, that support the enhancement of communication within the department and division.
Receives and responds to correspondence, which may be of a confidential nature.
Schedules appointments and meetings, makes travel arrangements as necessary and processes related expense reports.
Assists with posting and maintaining all required department legal postings.
Participates in department and divisional cross-training and provides back-up support to various department and division administrative staff on an as need basis.
Builds productive and effective working relationships.
Consults with/escalates difficult and complex issues and option assessments to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years' directly related pre-construction and estimating administration experience in a fast-paced, multi-project operational environment; or Associate's Degree with 1 - 2 years' directly related experience; or Bachelor's Degree with 0 - 1 years' directly related experience.
- Familiarity with construction terminology, concepts, practices, procedures, methods, bid solicitation and pre-qualification processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications, as well as ability to learn construction project management systems, databases, and online construction bid boards.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) with tact and diplomacy.
- Aptitude to exercise discretion and judgment when resolving issues, making recommendations, and interacting with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Must be proactive, take initiative and have the ability to understand overall strategy and objective.
- Strong detail orientation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines in high-volume environment required.
- Must be intuitive, creative and organized with proficient problem-solving skills.
- Aptitude to work independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude essential.
