We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent, full-time remote position that offers the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while contributing to the company's overall financial success. As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our tax operations and ensuring our company’s compliance with all tax laws and regulations. You will be responsible for tax planning, preparation, accounting, and compliance, working closely with other departments to optimize our tax strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage all tax operations, including planning, compliance, and preparation.
2. Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.
3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
5. Coordinate with external auditors and handle tax audits.
6. Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions.
7. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
8. Work closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
9. Provide leadership and support to junior tax staff.
10. Handle tax-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preparation, planning, and compliance.
3. Strong knowledge of tax codes, compliance requirements, and procedures.
4. Proficient in tax software and databases, as well as MS Office.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
8. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
