Role Overview

The Repair Service Technician II is an on-site position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic and mechanical neurosurgical medical equipment. This role involves working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, including handling product complaints, performing diagnostics, and ensuring all repairs meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties

• Conduct repairs on customer products within assigned cycle times.
• Document all service activities in Oracle accurately and efficiently.
• Operate repair tools and test equipment, including:
• Digital Multimeters
• Electrical Safety Analyzers
• Video Camera Inspection Systems
• Soldering Equipment
• General Hand Tools
• Complete repairs in line with SOPs, both locally and globally.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams for complaint resolution.
• Work independently and as part of a team to improve customer support processes and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Education

• Minimum 2-year degree in Biomedical Technology, Electrical, or Electronics Technology.
• Associate degree or certification from a technical/trade school.

• Experience

• 2+ years of experience in medical or electronic equipment repair and testing.
• Technical troubleshooting skills required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Medical field experience is a plus.
• Computer skills required; Oracle experience preferred.

• Work Environment

• Ability to work in a team-oriented service environment is essential.
