This is a Hybrid role, based out of the Corporate Office at 500 Victory Road (Marina Bay), Quincy, MA 02171.
Pay: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule: Full Time | 8:30AM-5:00PM

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee the accounting functions required to generate financial reports and analysis for a portfolio of properties.
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review detailed monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Handle the preparation of real estate tax reports and personal tax returns.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist with compliance and financial audits.
- Support the annual budgeting process.
- Quickly and independently resolve issues within HMR guidelines and procedures; escalate to the Supervisor for timely resolution when needed.
- Demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Proactively seek and accept new responsibilities, while learning new concepts.
- Perform other duties as assigned and participate in ad hoc projects as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Able to build positive relationships with others, even when working remotely without face-to-face interaction.
- Highly organized, efficient, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Proficient in account reconciliation processes.
- Forward-thinking, creative, and able to maintain a professional image.
- Proficient in accounting software (preferably Intacct), as well as Excel and Word.
- A sharp and articulate communicator who can engage with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; or
- Five years of relevant experience and/or training; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
