About the Job
Promote the Morongo Rewards by assisting patrons through the membership process and answer questions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:- Maintains relationships with known players and develop relationships with potential players
- Meets, greets and delivers exceptional service to all guests in person or over the phone. Assists with resolution of guest issues
- Seeks out and “sells” guests on the value of signing up for a Morongo Rewards Card. Achieves daily, weekly and monthly signup/email/phone number and carded play goals set forth by the Marketing team
- Enrolls guests in Morongo Rewards and issues new player cards, reprints, PIN changes and maintains accurate player tracking information
- Assists with the arrival and departure of bus groups, when applicable
- Assists guests both over the phone and in person
- Issues complimentaries to Morongo Rewards members based on evaluation of play within Morongo’s complimentary guidelines
- Assists all other casino departments with the issuance of players cards for established and new guests
- Responsible for Morongo Rewards membership sign-ups and reprints throughout casino floor
- Responsible for picking up trash, pushing in chairs, and engaging with guests through greetings, answering questions, and escorting guests to various locations
- Accurately communicates all marketing activities and promotions, and amenities available to guests
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
Must have excellent guest service skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. One to two years of guest relations experience required, with the ability to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the general public. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with staff and guests. Skill in operating standard office equipment. Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Professional demeanor and optimism are essential. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
