Responsibilities
+ The Research Assistant will provide direct support to the College of Strategic Security Cooperation (CSSC) and the Defense SCO Institute (DSI).
+ RAs shall be enrolled in a graduate degree program. There is no specific requirement for a specialty but prefer focus in International Relations, Political Science or Regional Area.
+ Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
+ What You'll Do:
+ RAs shall be available during core duty hours (0900-1500hrs) -- remaining duty hours will be worked between the contractor and the contractor Team Lead
+ RAs shall be in attendance at the SCO and Regional Seminars Course to support class managers (i.e., assist with class manager duties, guest speaker coordination, research items of interest required for instruction, and other related duties as required)
+ RAs will work 30 hours/week.
+ RAs shall support International Students' airport pick-up. The government will use GOV (Van) to perform duties. The contractors shall follow the GSA procedures to operate the GOVs
+ RAs shall support the execution of the SCO Course capstone exercise in the NCR or other nearby training installation.
+ Secret clearance is required.
+ Key Responsibilities:
+ Providing day-to-day support to CSSC and DSI.
+ Working closely with staff, faculty, and students.
+ Customer service and communication skills are important.
Qualifications
+ Minimum Qualifications
+ Education:
+ Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program. There is no specific requirement for a specialty but prefer focus in International Relations, Political Science or Regional Area.
+ Experience:
+ Leading/managing an office or supporting a senior-level leader.
+ Working independently with the ability to stay motivated and multitask.
+ Work as a team to support the mission of the senior leadership office.
+ Other Requirements:
+ Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
+ Skills & Technology Used
+ Software:
+ Adobe Creative Suite to create and/or collaborate on visual products, including diagrams, branding, publications, illustrations, and infographics.
+ Additional Software:
+ Microsoft Office Suite
+ Excel
+ Outlook
+ SharePoint
+ Personal computer, printer, copy machine, and other general office equipment.
