We are seeking a part-time temporary Research Assistant/Technician. The ideal Research Assistant (Technician) candidate would have experience in fundamental cellular and molecular biological techniques with a preference for handling research animals.

Responsibilities

• Small animal handling and in vivo studies
• Laboratory organization and management
• Cell culture, biochemical/molecular, and related in vitro experiments
• Data collection, analysis, and maintenance of records
• General laboratory maintenance and research project assistance

Minimum:

• High school diploma
• Experience related to handling laboratory equipment

Preferred:

• College degree (e.g., B.S., B.A) in Biology, Chemistry, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related fields
• Experience with molecular biological techniques such as Electrophoresis, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), etc.
• Experience working with basic science laboratory equipment
• Experience with laboratory research animals
• Strong work ethic and an interest in developing independent research Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
