About the Job
The Research Associate will be part of Formula Documentation team and will be responsible for driving projects in a fast-paced cross-functional environment by helping support innovation, technical services projects, and cost saving initiatives. The individual is responsible for collecting and managing all documents pertaining to formula issuance. This role requires an individual that is keenly aware of the completeness and accuracy of our formula data. A successful candidate will have a passion for documentation consistency, adherence to standards, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

responsibilities:
- Maintain Formula Standards document and follow SOPs to verify ingredients and formulas for accuracy.
- Execute all aspects of formula documentation during final R&D review including data enrichment, formula review, copyediting, proofreading, synchronizing data across multiple databases, formula approval processing, formula data maintenance and other activities as needed
- Manage full product life cycle documentation including issuing and superseding/obsoleting formulas. This includes maintenance of formula documentation genealogy/traceability, documentation change control per Company standards
- Discreetly handle confidential formula level data according to Company standards
- Regularly navigate required database systems (Optiva, SAP, MDM)
- Support discussion on establishing, revising, and documenting relevant technical and non-technical data standards
- Multi-task to achieve and deliver results in a highly deadline driven team
- Adapt to changing business needs, priorities, and other activities as needed
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or related field
- 3 months to 2 years of related experience, food / beverage experience or CPG internship a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Optiva and SAP experience will be a plus
