Research Associate II (Translational) - Ashvattha Therapeutics, Inc.

The Position

Setup and execute experimental assays including IHC and qPCR.  Generate in house data and present findings to relevant project teams in departmental and cross-functional team meetings.  Plan, execute, and interpretation of  experiments deriving from in vivo animal studies to support Ashvattha's preclinical pipeline. The candidate is expected to provide technical expertise on standard immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF). They will execute histology tasks including processing, embedding, cryosectioning, microtomy, staining of tissues, and imaging, and execute qPCR experiments on tissues from in vivo studies. They will also troubleshoot technical issues, perform data analysis, and maintain lab notebooks and high-quality lab standards. Focus tissues such as spinal cord, brain and tumors will be coming from inflammatory diseases including but not limited to, neurological, immunological and oncology indications. 

Who You Are

BS Degree in a related scientific discipline with at least 5 years of hand on laboratory experience. The candidate must have technical expertise on IHC and IF to execute standard histology tasks on in vivo tissues. Experience in tissue imaging using microscopy preferred. They must have the ability to effectively and clearly summarize results for presentation and report generation. The candidate should exhibit exemplary verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within and across functions at a small company. You are able to work full time, on site at our laboratory.
