Job Summary: The Research Associate is responsible for working with our professionals within the organization to research and write documents that are a large part of our Valuation Analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research, write and proofread the following, in a timely fashion (by the due date), with minimal assistance from other members of the Research team:
- Industry Analyses
- Quarterly Economic Overviews
- Prairie Industry Perspectives
- ESOP Newsletter
- Articles assigned to Research Team by Content Committee
- Create surveys for ESOP-owned companies, with collaboration from the Marketing and Industry initiative teams, including:
- Research
- Analysis/data interpretation
- Drafting survey results.
- Assist with preparation for busy season by pre-writing industry sections
- Proofread documents for marketing
- Participate in Research Team’s special projects and initiatives, independently
- Oversee Research Analyst/Sr. Research Analyst work product
- Mentor and train intern
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, but Master’s degree preferred with a focus on Liberal Arts and/or Humanities
- Prior experience using research best practices including but not limited to, understanding how to gather and utilize the most relevant information and properly document sources
- Outstanding written communication skills, including the ability to adapt to Prairie’s writing style
- Expert in Microsoft Office products
- Skillful critical thinking skills
- Highly organized
- Leadership minded
- Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills, detail orientation and verbal communication skills
Work Environment: Office setting
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
