Research Associate (temporary) - International Data Group, Inc.

IDC is seeking a motivated MBA student to join us as an intern for a short term.  The ideal candidate will participate in market research activities that support our cutting-edge Tech Buyer Digital Platform research agenda.  Candidates who possess research, writing and data analysis skills are desired.

This role is located in our Needham, MA with a hybrid work schedule.

• Assist in developing and writing IT market research reports.
• Work with primary and secondary survey data.
• Perform data analysis on company firmographic data.
• Create data visualizations.
• Update PowerPoint presentations. 
• Ability to work with and analyze survey data. 
• Conduct vendor outreach.
• Ability to write summaries that tell the "data story" suitable for presentation delivery and short survey spotlights. 

• MBA student.
• Passion for technology and a desire to learn about market research.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot tables).
• Ability to work independently.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected compensation, depending on education level, is between $22-$25/hour for undergrads and $30-35/hour for graduate students.
