Research Chemist - Intertek USA Inc

Intertek is searching for a Research Chemist to join our Chemicals & Pharmaceuticalsteam in our Allentown, PA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Chemical Analytical Analysis!

The Research Chemist is responsible for Chemical analysis using sophisticated analytical instrumentation. They will be performing more complex analysis to assist clients in solving technical objectives. They will work directly with clients as well as coworkers to provide superior results in testing.

What you'll do:

• Plans, performs and completes more complex projects
• May develop and validate analytical methods
• Reviews analyses and documentation on completed projects
• Writes technical reports
• Troubleshoots problems and performs investigations when necessary
• Communicates with clients to address questions and provide project updates

• BA/BS and/or MS Chemistry, Biology or related scientific degree
• 5-8 years of related industry experience in an analytical laboratory
• Knowledge of laboratory safety precautions and protocols for safe handling and the disposal of hazardous agents/reagents, chemicals and materials
