**The ideal candidate will have research laboratory experience.**
The institutional compliance analyst will serve as a research integrity education specialist and will be responsible developing and delivering training and education on responsible conduct of research and research integrity. The institutional compliance analyst will assist with planning, developing, and implementing a variety of educational and outreach programs on the responsible conduct of research and research integrity. The institutional compliance analyst will assess the effectiveness of current responsible conduct of research and research integrity training and education and reach of such training and education and make requisite enhancements to support continuous improvement of such programs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a research lab or research compliance environment at an academic research center, pharmaceutical company, or government/other funding agency.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Education Assesses training and outreach needs in consultation with management to develop the educational resources to support research integrity. Develops curriculum for the responsible conduct of research and research integrity training programs including educational material for learning sessions. The curriculum should include educational material on: mentor/mentee responsibilities and relationships, safe research environments, collaborative research, peer review, data acquisition and analysis, secure and ethical data use, research misconduct and policies for handling misconduct, responsible authorship and publication, data management, data retention, FAIR guiding principles for research data stewardship, figures and images in publications and related record-keeping and retention/storage, research misconduct, and questionable research practices.
Administrator Establishes, schedules and coordinates implementation of classes through departmental and institutional platforms including the Education Center. Teaches virtual and in-person educational sessions and supports participants in their learning experience by providing individual and curated learning assistance, including feedback, clarification, and follow-ups that serve the learning process. Monitors and assists with implementing corrective and preventive actions resulting from research misconduct investigations.
Institutional Resource Monitors and keeps current on institutional policies, and state and federal regulations, as well as internal processes and procedures to ensure educational material is current. Assists in the development, implementation, and updating of policies related to applicable program areas. Responsible for content on the research integrity internal web site.
Assist in other areas and duties as needed as assigned.
Required education : Bachelor's degree.
Required experience : Four years experience in research or research compliance, general/legal regulatory compliance, corporate compliance, privacy compliance, billing and reimbursement or billing compliance, healthcare administration and/or general business as an analyst, auditor or fraud investigator. With preferred degree, two years of experience required. May substitute required degree with additional years of related experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred experience : Two years of relevant experience in Biomedical Research or Regulatory affairs and two years of related experience as a trainer.
