Job Description Summary

The Artificial Intelligence for Ambulatory Care Innovation (AI-4-AI) lab seeks a dynamic Research Coordinator to support ongoing healthcare research projects. The Research Coordinator will manage videography, patient recruitment, and study administration, including setting up cameras, screening participants, obtaining consent, and overseeing enrollment. Responsibilities include data entry, maintaining study databases, and ensuring accurate records. The coordinator will prepare study materials, manage timelines, and perform protocol-specific tasks. Collaborating with the research team, they will assist in analyzing healthcare data using machine learning models while ensuring privacy compliance through de-identifying records and archiving materials.

Job Description


Job Responsibilities



+ Videography: Transporting, setting up, recording, and taking down camera(s) and other equipment. Editing footage, uploading, monitoring data, quality assurance, and local backups.


+ Assesses potential subjects' eligibility through screening interviews, reviews of medical records, and discussions with physicians and nurses. Consent patients. Oversees subject enrollment to ensure that informed consent is properly obtained and documented.


+ Perform standard administrative tasks such as scheduling study visits, managing correspondences, and organizing study-related meetings.


+ Prepare study charts and documents, access databases, and create necessary materials for study use.


+ Handle data entry and ensure accurate management of study databases, including regular updates and audits.


+ Prepare and distribute study patient packets, including questionnaires, consent forms, and relevant materials for each study visit.


+ Assist in generating study visit reports and managing study timelines.


+ Perform protocol-specific procedures as outlined in the study design.


+ Collaborate with the research team on data analysis using machine learning methods, with a focus on healthcare-related data.


+ Assist in the development of machine learning models for classifying, predicting, and analyzing patient data to enhance patient outcomes and provider efficiency.


+ Aid in the de-identification of subject records, scanning, and archiving materials in compliance with privacy regulations.


+ Perform additional research-related duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the study.

+ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


+ Walking for long periods of time (upwards of one mile).





Qualifications



+ Bachelor's degree in Informatics or a related field required.


+ 1-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


+ Experience with machine learning methods, data processing, classification, and regression techniques preferred.


+ Familiarity with healthcare datasets and basic knowledge of machine learning applications in healthcare is a plus.


+ Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.


+ Proficiency in office software and research data entry systems.
