Regal Staffing Services is now hiring for a Research and Development Lab Assistant for a warehouse located in the Midlothian, TX 76065 area.

Shift/Pay Rate: 1st shift (7 am to 3:30 pm): $18-$20/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
- Prepares food samples.
- Collects and receives samples of raw materials used in production that are under the purview of the Food Lab.
- Processes samples for testing in the Food lab as well as submit them for testing by additional labs.
- Performs occasional testing on finished food and dietary supplement products.
- Assists in documentation and archiving, and in managing reference materials and retainer samples.
- Assists with processing vendor qualifications.
- Maintains equipment logs, cleans and manages glassware, and assists in keeping the lab clean and organized.
- Follows Good Laboratory Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assist the R&D Dept with Product Claim substantiation documentation.
- Assists in other areas of the R&D Department when needed.
- Ability to organize the lab for conducting research and avoiding errors.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in a scientific discipline; or at least one year of experience in a laboratory and/or training.
- Must have basic computer and laboratory skills.
- Experience operating rotavapor, moisture balance, FTIR, and HPLC is a plus.
- Preferred 1 year of experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Must have the ability to use the scale and know how to prepare different concentrations of solutions and powders.
- Must have good communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific literature and analytical SOPs. Ability to write laboratory reports.
- Stable work history.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and e-mail.
- Pass background and drug screen.
