Overview:
The R&D Technologist plays a critical role in supporting the on-site Research and Development (R&D) activities. This position involves conducting experiments and performing wet bench work under the guidance of the R&D Manager. Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and perform wet bench work as directed by the R&D Manager.
- Prepare and analyze samples using various molecular biology techniques, including PCR, sequencing, and other genomic assays.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, including protocols, results, and observations.
- Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the laboratory.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, research papers, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and discussions, providing insights and updates on ongoing experiments.
- Comply with all relevant regulatory and quality standards in the laboratory setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Basic laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and nucleic acid extraction.
- Two years of industry experience in a molecular biology or related laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and applications.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation of molecular biology experiments.
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to contribute to research publications and presentations.
