We are seeking a talented AI Research Scientist with experience in recommendation system, language models and general AI to join the team

Required Skills:

Research Scientist, AI Recommendation Systems (PhD) Responsibilities:

1. Develop algorithms based on state-of-the-art machine learning and neural network methodologies.

2. Define, build, and benchmark the efficient foundation models for recommendation system Conduct research towards long-term ambitious research goals while identifying intermediate milestones.

3. Conduct research to advance the science and technology of recommendation systems, large language models and generative AI modeling.

4. Work with engineering teams to ship state-of-the-art models to product.

5. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Machine Learning, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

6. Knowledge in Python, Java, C++ or PHP.

7. Research and/or work experience in machine learning, NLP, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, signal processing, data mining, artificial intelligence, information retrieval or computer vision.

8. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

9. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

10. Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub)

11. Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at workshops or conferences such as ICML, NIPS, KDD or similar.

12. Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.

Public Compensation:

$117,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
