Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Assists in performing laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables.





Job Description


A cancer biology lab is looking for a research specialist A who would provide lab assistance and perform basic molecular biology experiments. This position is an excellent opportunity to learn the cutting edge CRISPR genome editing technology in cancer biology. The research specialist A will have a chance to present research data at lab meetings and be recognized via authorship in scientific manuscripts.




Position is contingent on continued funding.




Job Responsibilities



+ Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings)


+ CRISPR genome editing-related and functional genetics-related experiments


+ Help in the general running of the lab, including: ordering, receiving items, and maintaining lab organization


+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned





Qualifications



+ Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
